Miniatures - 1:12 Scale Hoosier Cabinet Workshop

Course Code: ARTS2856

This course has been designated as an intermediate/advanced level. These courses may branch into more advanced technical skills, so a minimum of beginner level of knowledge and skill is required. Please read course descriptions as they may list some skills you need to participate in the course instruction.
Inspired by a cabinet found in the Minden Hills Museum and Heritage village, you will create a miniature hoosier cabinet. You will be assembling the cabinet using pin hinges for the cupboard doors. The enamel work surface pulls out to allow more space for mixing and baking. There is also a pull-out cutting board, a tin lined drawer, a divided cutlery drawer and a cupboard that houses a ?our bin. The cabinet will be painted and decals added to match the original. Learn how to make decals using a printed picture. There will be functioning casters on the bottom as an additional detail. By the end of the day, your cabinet will be to the point of dry fitting all the pieces together and testing the pin hinges.
