Indigenous Student Services

Fleming College understands and recognizes that Indigenous students come from diverse cultures and traditions, and have varying perspectives, needs and goals. No matter what path you come from, or where you are headed, Fleming Indigenous Student Services will help ease your transition to college life.

We are fully committed to the success of First Nation, Inuit and Métis students and honour the worldview of our people by respecting and supporting you to the best of your abilities.

We offer a number of services in support of our Indigenous students:

Self-Identification

As a self-identifying First Nations, Inuit or Métis student, there are many culturally relevant supports and resources available to you.

Bishkaa (Anishinaabemowin for ‘Rise Up’) provides a holistic approach in supporting incoming First Nations (status and non-status), Metis and Inuit students.
