Welcome to Fleming College’s Testing Centre Services. We provide a professional and accessible testing area that ensures academic integrity. The Testing Centre offers a friendly, comfortable environment to both Fleming students and faculty, as well as those from the outside community who need to write an exam for another organization/institution.

Testing Services Policies

  1. Students writing in the Test Centre will be required to show photo ID in order to write a test (Fleming Student ID Card, or Government issued ID is acceptable - driver's license/passport)
  2. Students should arrive 5-15 minutes before their anticipated test/exam time to allow for check in. Please note: during peak seasons (midterms and finals) a wait time may result.
  3. Students who arrive late to their test may not be compensated for missed time. Please see our closing times below. If you arrive too close to our closing time you may not receive the full allotted time for your test.
  4. The invigilator will assign a seat where the student will sit to write their test or exam.
  5. Students are expected to comply with instructions given to them by the invigilator or staff of the Test Centre prior, during and after testing while in the Centre.
  6. Only authorized materials will be permitted at student work stations (as outlined on the test/exam referral form), all other items will be stored in cubbies. (Please note: we recommend students leave valuables at home or in their locker, as the Test Centre is not responsible for lost or stolen items.)
  7. Students are permitted drinks in a cup with a sealed lid. No food is allowed.
  8. Students must adhere to the length of their test as outlined by the course instructor on the test/exam referral form.
  9. Electronic devices of any kind will not be permitted on the student’s workstation. Cell phones, all watches, iPods and other devices will be required to be turned off, and stored in the cubby for the duration of the test.
  10. If a student is found in possession of or accessing any unauthorized materials or devices, or participates in unauthorized behavior during their exam, their test/exam will end and an incident report will be created and sent to the instructor for academic integrity violation review.
  11. During a test/exam, students can only communicate with Test Centre staff. The Test Centre staff cannot give any guidance or answer questions regarded to test/exam content.
  12. The Test Centre is a scent-free environment. Please refrain from wearing scented products to the Centre.
  13. Children are not allowed in the Test Centre and cannot be left unattended while any student tests.
  14. In case of emergency (fire alarm, lockdown), students are to follow the instructions of the Test Centre staff.
  15. The Test Centre will not administer tests/exams that are past their write date/time as outlined on the test/exam referral form.
  16. Students are not permitted to wear hats, hoods, coats or jackets into the testing room. You will be asked to leave these in your bag or the cubbies.
