This course is welcome to all levels. Anyone can take these courses if interested. Beginner-level instruction will be provided for basic skills while more advanced users can work on more complex projects with instructor assistance.
This stone carving course is designed for sculptors of all levels to work on individual stone sculptures in a variety of stone such as Steatite, Alabaster, Limestone and Marble. Group lectures and demonstrations will be given on safety measures, thinking in 3D, relief carving and lettering. There will be a focus on individual attention from the instructor but there will also be opportunities to share your own information and experiences with fellow classmates. All levels from Beginner to Advanced are welcome. Bring your own stone or purchase it in class. Some tools will also be available for purchase.
