Build Your Pottery and Ceramics Skills at the Haliburton School of Art + Design
Haliburton, ON – (Jan. 23, 2023) – The Haliburton School of Art + Design (HSAD) is opening its ceramics studio to local artists.
A new open studio program allows artists full access to HSAD’s ceramics studio for a weekly fee of $125.
Each artist will have full access to their own designated wheel, worktable, storage space and ware cart. The cost also covers the full use of studio equipment (including a mill, slab roller, banding wheel, slump molds, stamps, extruder, batts, armatures, slip trailers, spray booth, sculpting stand and use of the kiln room).
Studio time can be purchased by the week.
The studio is open Monday through Saturday. All clay must be purchased from the College Bookstore for $25 per bag. The cost includes underglazes, glazes, and firing.
The program runs from January 30 to April 29. It is not suitable for beginners; Previous experience is required.
