The Fleming College community was treated to a top-notch show of talented musical acts at the inaugural Fleming’s Got Talent competition, held at the Sutherland Campus Nov. 9.

Students in the Travel and Tourism program will have the opportunity to visit Jamaica in April 2011 to learn about the travel industry and take part in volunteer work. About 25 students heard a presentation on Nov. 5 from program coordinator Patti Watson and four students who were part of a similar trip last April.
Representatives from Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and The Rosseau Muskoka (a JW Marriott hotel) were onsite at Fleming College’s Sutherland Campus recently, recruiting students for a variety of positions at some of Canada’s most famous hotels.
Staff and students at the Cobourg Campus raised $1,659 for the Northumberland United Way at the annual Souper Bowl lunch, held November 10. With 27 soups and chilis donated by the campus community, it was “by far” the biggest Souper Bowl to date, said event organizer Karen Foster.
