Registration opens March 1 for Haliburton School of Art + Design summer courses
An affordable, creative escape for individuals of all ages is available in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands at Fleming College’s Haliburton School of Art + Design.
The inspiring surroundings and array of arts courses kindle a creative vigour that can be motivating and energizing or reflective and comforting. Beginners to professionals, individuals and families – there’s something for everyone. Choose from more than 300 options. Registration opens Tuesday, March 1.
There are 70 new courses this year including:
- Celtic Designs and Monograms with Marta Scythes
- Contemporary Sculpture with Helen Cho
- Digital Explorations and Collage with David Clarkson
- Teen Choral Crew with Andy Rush
- Woodcarving with Neil Cox
- Iron Sculpture Open Studio with Rene Petitjean
- Silk Explorations with Beth Abbott
- Kids’ Pop Art with Michel Karch Ackerman
Participants have the opportunity to experience the creative energy while at the architecturally-inspiring campus. Gallery receptions, entertainment and art talks as well as self-guided walk-about exhibitions and visits to local galleries, shops, studios, and the Haliburton Sculpture Forest are all part of the HSAD summer school experience.
