Fleming’s unique-in-Canada Ecosystem Management program offers part-time options
Peterborough ON – (July 15, 2021) – Fleming’s unique ecosystem management programs are now offered in a part-time format. Neither full-time or part-time studies in this field are available anywhere else in the country. Programs available include:
- Ecosystem Management Technician
- Ecosystem Management Technology
- Ecosystem Management Technology – Advanced Standing
With the new part-time options, all courses and learning experiences for students will remain the same, except for the number of courses required each semester. The amount of coursework and sequencing have been adjusted to create a balance that reinforces a foundation of skills and knowledge, which is built upon each semester. Students in these programs are still able to apply for international placements and take the Indigenous Perspectives Designation.
The purpose of the new offerings is to provide more flexibility and make it easier for students to achieve their goals. The part-time options for these popular programs address many issues that prospective students face: the heavy workload of a full academic schedule, balancing work and life commitments, and maintaining a job for a source of income. The new part-time options address exactly these concerns for students and those with a busy work and life schedule who are interested in upskilling and retraining.
For more information, check out the part-time programs listed above or visit the School of Environmental & Natural Resource Sciences.
