Food Service Worker: fast track certificate program
Fleming College is offering a fast track Food Service Worker certificate program at its Cobourg Campus.
The program will be offered in-class from May 14 to June 25 in six 30-hour modules, allowing students to graduate quickly.
The Food Service Worker certificate is required training for dietary aides working in health care facilities (as established by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Community & Social Services). Courses include: Introduction to Nutrition, Quantity Food Preparation, and Sanitation and Safety. Graduates can apply for food service positions in health care facilities, such as hospitals, long-term care facilities and retirement homes.
The Food Service Worker program is part of Fleming’s suite of popular culinary programs that include Chef Training, Culinary Management, and Cook Apprentice.
