Lindsay ON – March 30, 2010 – Fleming College is pleased to invite the public to join local experts for the Growing Green Communities conference on Thursday, April 8th at Fleming College’s Frost Campus in Lindsay. Students from the third year Ecosystem Management program have compiled a group of local sustainability experts who will provide inexpensive, easy and environmentally-friendly solutions to cut energy costs, lower carbon footprints and to live more sustainably. Keynote speakers will be MPP Rick Johnson, Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock, who will speak on the Green Energy Act, and Professor Robert Lovelace from the Ardoch First Nation who will speak on First Nations’ connection to the environment. Tours of the Frost Campus environmental technology wing will be available every half hour starting at noon.
