Haliburton, ON – (July 28, 2015) – Fleming College’s Haliburton Campus will host the annual Haliburton School of The Arts (HSTA) Faculty Art Auction on August 6, 2015.
There will be many unique works of art up for bidding in both live and silent auctions. All art has been created and generously donated by artists who are, or have been, members of the faculty at HSTA.
In the past, works have been donated by artists such as John Leonard, Rod Prouse, Rob Stimpson, Chuck O’Neil, Susan Watson-Ellis, Shelley Beach and Duncan Aird. All proceeds from the Art Auction are directed to bursaries and scholarships for students attending arts programs at the Haliburton Campus, as well as capital equipment.
The event begins at 5 p.m. with a preview of the auction items. The live auction takes place at 7 p.m. A number of silent auction items will also be available to bid on until 7 p.m.
Admission is free and the auction is open to the public. The campus is located at 297 College Drive in Haliburton. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to browse through the items and find a seat at the auction. As in previous years, organizers anticipate it will be standing room only. All auction purchases are payable by Visa, MasterCard, cash or cheque.
