Nature Explorer Summer Camp at Frost Campus and Kawartha Conservation

City of Kawartha Lakes ON – (April 11, 2017) – Children ages 6 to 10 will have the opportunity to learn more about the environment around them at the Nature Explorer Summer Camp hosted by Kawartha Conservation and Fleming College’s Frost Campus Sustainability Initiative.

The camp, which will take place at both Frost Campus and Ken Reid Conservation Area, will feature four week-long sessions in July and August.

The camp is focused on fun, hands-on activities that will teach campers about the environment. Participants will learn about wildlife, habitat, aquatics, nature art and wilderness skills (Week A) and birds, minerals/rocks/soil, wetlands, weather and climate change, and orienteering (Week B).

The session dates are:

  • July 17-21 (Week A)
  • July 24-28 (Week B)
  • Aug. 14-18 (Week B)
  • Aug. 21-25 (Week A)
