Red Cross Photo Exhibit Launches at Fleming College
In 2008, the Canadian Red Cross provided young Indonesians, aged 10-16 years old, with disposable cameras and an invitation to photograph what represented their world today. The result is the Pictures Talk exhibit, a story of hope and renewal four years after the tsunami. The exhibit includes a collection of 25 photographs selected from more than 1,000 photos taken by 41 Indonesian children. An official launch for this exhibit, the first of its kind in Canada, will be held at Fleming College’s Sutherland Campus on Feb. 24. Pictures Talk will remain at Fleming College in the main foyer from Feb. 24- 27. The exhibit will also be on display at Lansdowne Place mall from Feb. 24- 27.This exhibit is an opportunity for Canadians – and the Fleming College community – to see how their donations have helped children and families in Indonesia rebuild their lives. – 30 –
