Reel Paddling Film Festival at Frost Campus

Published

The Reel Paddling Film Festival is back for 2011 and will be hosted by Fleming College’s Outdoor Adventure Skills program at the Frost Campus.

Featuring award-winning films that focus on the different types of paddling from around the world, the event will take place on Wednesday, Apr. 6 at 8 p.m. in Auk’s Lodge.

There will also be a gear swap at the festival. If participants have used but useable gear they would like to donate, they can bring it ahead of the event to OAS program coordinator Rick Whitteker’s office, room 180E at the campus, 200 Albert St. S. in Lindsay.

The money collected from the swap will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Kawartha Lakes.

The film festival is open to all ages and will last just over two hours. Tickets are $8 in advance (being sold at the campus) or $10 at the door. For more information on the festival, visit www.reelpaddlingfilmfestival.com.
