Souper Bowl ’08 at Fleming College’s Cobourg Campus
Cobourg ON – Delicious soups and chilis will tempt taste buds at Souper Bowl ’08 Luncheon and Bake Sale at Fleming College’s Cobourg Campus on Wednesday, November 19.The lunch, an annual fundraiser for the Northumberland United Way, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Campus, 1005 Elgin St. in Cobourg.Tickets are $7 and include a bowl of soup or chili, a fresh-baked roll (donated by the Dutch Oven) and a bottle of water (donated by Mill Valley). Chartwells, Fleming’s food service provider, has donated bowls and utensils for the event.Staff members at the campus will also have a bake sale table set up – perfect for dessert.The soup and dessert recipes featured at the event will be compiled into a recipe book for sale at the event with proceeds also going to the United Way. Last year’s event raised $1,000 for our community. All members of the public are invited to attend and help us beat that total.
