Spring Into Success: What to Expect at Fleming’s Spring Orientation

Spring is the season for fresh starts and what better way to kick off your Fleming experience than with Orientation? Whether you’re joining us at our Sutherland, Frost, or Haliburton campus, Orientation is your all-access pass to everything you need to kickstart a successful semester.

What is Orientation?

Orientation is our way of saying “Welcome to Fleming!” Designed with new students in mind, this one-day event is packed with opportunities to get to know your campus, meet classmates and faculty, and learn the ins and outs of life at Fleming.

Highlights of the Day

Campus Tours – Become a campus pro and take a tour through key buildings, classrooms, student services, and the best study spots.

Meet & Greets – Get to know your program coordinators, student services staff, and orientation crew. You’ll also meet fellow students who are just as excited (and maybe nervous) as you are.

Helpful Workshops – Workshops include academic success tips, using D2L and WebAdvisor, accessing student supports on campus, budgeting, and more.

Tech Help – Need help logging in? Having trouble setting up your email or connecting to WiFi? We’ve got you covered with dedicated support stations.

International Orientation

Are you new to Fleming and Canada? We have a special day of orientation workshops for international students enrolled in programs at Sutherland Campus on Thursday, May 1, to help you settle into life at Fleming. Visit our International Student Orientation page for more information.

Pro Tips for a Great Orientation Experience

• Bring your Student ID (or government-issued ID)
• Dress for the weather – spring in Ontario can be full of surprises!
• Take notes and photos of places you want to remember
• Be curious – ask questions and don’t be afraid to say ‘hi’ to someone new
