Talk on environmental toxins and children s health

Kathleen Cooper, a senior researcher at the Canadian Environmental Law Association, will give a free talk on environmental toxins and their effect on children’s health at the Frost Campus on Tuesday, October 16. “Putting Children First… Are Environmental Toxins Harming our Children?” will explore how environmental toxins and household products can affect children’s health and well-being. A product information exhibit will also be on display. The event is free and open to the public. It will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Crombie Theatre at the Frost Campus of Fleming College, 200 Albert S. S. in Lindsay. The event is sponsored by Fleming College and its Early Childhood Education program, Best Start, the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit, the United Way, the City of Kawartha Lakes, the Early Years Centre and Community Living Kawartha Lakes.
