This course has been designated as an intermediate/advanced level. These courses may branch into more advanced technical skills, so a minimum of beginner level of knowledge and skill is required. Musical Theatre Mash-up explores nostalgic, inspiring and moving highlights from musicals through the ages, ranging from Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, jazz and vaudeville inspired revues, Golden Age classics, experimental, rock and mega musicals, through to Disney, jukebox and satirical shows. Casting in solo, duo and chorus numbers, repertoire choices will be based on voice type, level of experience and interests. Instructor led voice coaching, rehearsals and stage direction will guide motivated quick-study performers through an intensive 5- day journey of role and scene preparation, culminating in a semi-staged final performance of magical moments from the week.
