This course is welcome to all levels. Anyone can take these courses if interested. Beginner-level instruction will be provided for basic skills while more advanced users can work on more complex projects with instructor assistance.
Flash fiction and nonfiction writing is generally stories under 1,000 words. Dive into short form writing as you explore what makes a flash story work through readings, discussion of craft skills and writing to prompts. There will be an opportunity to read your fresh work to the class (optional), get feedback on what's strong and working and ideas for further development. Opportunities for publishing flash work will be shared. Explore the flash form in a supportive writing environment. This workshop is suitable for both experienced writers and those just beginning to explore the muse.
