Youth/Teen Movie Making

Course Code: ARTS1825

This course has been designated as a youth/teen course. The expected age range is between 10 to 17. Special consideration may be granted in certain circumstances. However, on the first day of class, we reserve the right to remove a participant from any course that does not meet the age requirements where a special circumstance was not communicated and granted. No refund will be issued.
This course has been designated at a beginner level. No previous knowledge or skill is needed to take these courses.
Learn how to tell and show a great video story. From writing a script, creating a storyboard and shot list, using a video camera and digitally editing your movie, you'll produce a short movie that will be screened at the Friday afternoon film festival. During the week you will create a character profile movie as well as work on a team story. The final product will be a USB stick collection of movies. Previous experience is not required, and all equipment will be provided. Many videos from past courses have been finalists at the Toronto International Children's Film Festival. No use of profanity or violence will be allowed.
