Bishkaa: Orientation And Mentorship Program

We are pleased to provide transitional support for first-year First Nation, Métis and Inuit students through our Bishkaa program.

Bishkaa (Anishinaabemowin for ‘Rise Up’) provides a holistic approach in supporting incoming First Nations (status and non-status), Métis and Inuit students.

This mentorship program begins with orientation sessions and programming in August and is an ongoing peer mentorship program available to Indigenous students throughout the school year.

Bishkaa is a great opportunity for students to connect with Indigenous Student Services staff and other Indigenous students and build friendships and cultural connections.
