This course is welcome to all levels. Anyone can take these courses if interested. Beginner-level instruction will be provided for basic skills while more advanced users can work on more complex projects with instructor assistance.
During this course, make connections between personal aspects of your past and present as you create a series of folkloric, mythic, or personal heritage objects. Through a reflective process, utilize hand building and throwing skills to make work that combine techniques and surface decoration. Each object should be imbued with a highly personal story line that is based on your relationship to the folklore of your area, heritage, and interest. Preserve memory as you produce personal ceramic archives.
