Dependant on job experience, as well as level of expertise, eligible applicants may challenge the in-school portion of apprenticeship levels of the trade-specific apprenticeship program. Non-apprentices can likewise challenge the in-school portion of the program starting at level one.
The exemption tests are based on the formal instruction requirements for an apprenticeship program. Candidates should contact the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development or their Apprenticeship Representative for more information. Or, to ensure you are choosing to write the correct exam: Ontario Apprenticeship Offices. Fleming College is not responsible should you choose the incorrect exam.
The Fleming College Testing Centre is a ministry approved Apprenticeship Exemption Test centre, authorized through the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, for both apprentice and non-apprentices.
Apprenticeship Exam Testing is offered in-person at Sutherland (Peterborough) and Frost (Lindsay) campuses.
