Ceramics - Handbuilding with Slabs & Coils

This course has been designated as an intermediate/advanced level. These courses may branch into more advanced technical skills, so a minimum of beginner level of knowledge and skill is required. Please read course descriptions as they may list some skills you need to participate in the course instruction.
This course covers soft slab making and hand building techniques. Through demonstrations, learn to roll, texture, stretch slabs and achieve different effects with a combination of slabs, coiling and pinching. Over the week you will also use hump and slump moulds. Experimentation is encouraged to produce small scale vessels. There will be two bisque firings and one cone 6 glaze firing to be collected on the last day (day 6).
