This course is welcome to all levels. Anyone can take these courses if interested. Beginner-level instruction will be provided for basic skills while more advanced users can work on more complex projects with instructor assistance.
Explore the magic of the watercolor medium in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Learn to interpret the beauty and influence of light using values, colour and atmospheric perspective. Beginning with a morning demonstration, you will be lead through a step-by-step process to create landscapes with a sense of place. Working from (provided) reference photos you will use simple value sketches and compositional techniques to condense the photographic subject matter. The result will be two finished watercolours. Strong values and good design, allow you to paint freely by letting your personal interpretation of a subject come through.
