Yvonne Iten-Scott
Yvonne Iten-Scott was born in Toronto in 1961 to immigrant parents from Switzerland and Scotland. She was raised on a cattle farm, surrounded by antiques, handmade quilts, hand hooked and braided rugs. Her Swiss father instilled in her, the value of handcrafted items. After raising her four daughters in England, Singapore and Canada, she returned to a rural lifestyle in the countryside of Erin, Ontario. The farm is where she has her studio, teaches creative workshops and holds fibre retreats. Yvonne has always been drawn to textures and colours. After careers in Photography and Montessori teaching, she found her passion in textile art. Yvonne is the current president of The International Guild of Handhooking Rugmakers.
