Glassblowing - Mug & Tumbler Workshop

This course has been designated at a beginner level. No previous knowledge or skill is needed to take these courses.
Discover the excitement of hot glasswork and create a mug or tumbler using traditional tools and techniques dating back 2000 years. These methods are still used today by the world's leading vessel makers and glass sculptors. Glass is first melted in a furnace to 2100 degrees Fahrenheit upon which time you will then learn how to gather the molten material on the end of a steel blowpipe to form it into formed glassware. Safe practices will be continually emphasized throughout the workshop. This is an excellent introduction to the intrigue of hot glass work.
