Spinning - Beginners

This course has been designated at a beginner level. No previous knowledge or skill is needed to take these courses.
Learn the art of twisting fibre into yarn. Participants will be introduced to raw, washed, and dyed wool. Hands-on instruction in washing and dyeing wool, hand carding, teasing, drum carding, spinning and plying on a spindle and on a spinning wheel will be provided. Using what you have learned, participants will select appropriate fibres for a specific project from the supplied materials, and will prepare, blend, and spin fibre for your project to be completed on your own time.
