This course has been designated at a beginner/intermediate level. These courses may branch into skill building beyond the beginner level, but the faculty member is also willing to take on students with no previous skills.
Get comfortable with colour as you learn how to choose, mix, and modify your favourite colours with confidence. Starting with the primaries - red, yellow, and blue - along with a few mixers you will practice using your chosen colours to produce your desired mood, from gentle and peaceful to bold and dramatic. This course is a combination of structured exercises and free form experimental painting. Create useful tools that will help build your colour confidence going forward. You will produce several pieces of experimental work as you practice applying your new knowledge. This fast-paced interactive course is suitable for enthusiastic beginners and experienced artists who want to get serious about colour.
