Mixed Media - One Hundred Artworks to an Artistic Voice

This course is welcome to all levels. Anyone can take these courses if interested. Beginner-level instruction will be provided for basic skills while more advanced users can work on more complex projects with instructor assistance.
Focus on rapid creative production and self-discovery as you aim to create 25 pieces a day. Immerse yourself in the process rather than completing finished pieces. In this course you will experiment with various mediums such as pastels, ink acrylic and learn techniques like layering, stenciling, collaging, gestural brushstrokes, and mark-making. The focus will be on exploration and intuition as you push out of your comfort zone, experimenting with line, shape, composition and colour. Learn how materials and process play a crucial role in discovering your unique visual language. At the end of the week, you will assemble your artwork and discover recurring ideas, interests, patterns and colours.
